Welcome to Cyclea. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Cyclea ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the Cyclea mobile application (the "App").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Cyclea is a menstrual cycle tracking application designed to help users:

Track menstrual periods and cycle patterns
Monitor symptoms, moods, and health indicators
Record basal body temperature
Log medications and supplements
Predict future periods and fertile windows
Set reminders for health-related events
Generate health insights based on tracked data

3. Eligibility

Age Requirements

The App is intended for users aged 12 years and older. Users under 18 should use the App with parental or guardian supervision and consent.

Geographic Availability

The App is available worldwide through the Apple App Store, subject to regional availability.

4. License Grant

Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Restrictions

You may NOT:

Copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the App
Rent, lease, loan, sell, or sublicense the App

5. User Accounts and Data

No Account Required

Cyclea does not require account creation. You can use the App immediately after installation.

Your Data

All health data you enter in the App is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for:

The accuracy and completeness of data you enter
Maintaining backups of your data (via device backups)
Protecting your device with passwords/biometric security
Understanding that uninstalling the App will delete all local data

Data Ownership

You retain all rights to the health data you enter in the App. We do not claim ownership of your personal information.

6. Medical Disclaimer

The App:

Does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
Should NOT be used as a substitute for professional medical care
Is NOT intended to prevent, diagnose, treat, or cure any disease
Should NOT be relied upon for birth control or pregnancy planning without consulting a healthcare provider

Accuracy Limitations

Predictions are based on statistical algorithms and historical data
Cycle predictions may not be accurate, especially for irregular cycles
The App is not a reliable method of contraception
Always consult healthcare professionals for medical decisions

Fertility and Birth Control

Do NOT rely on Cyclea alone for birth control or preventing pregnancy. The App is not a certified fertility awareness method. Consult your doctor for reliable contraception methods. Ovulation and fertile window predictions are estimates only.

Emergency Situations

If you experience a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on the App for emergency medical situations.

7. Health and Safety

Consult Healthcare Professionals

You should consult qualified healthcare professionals:

Before making medical decisions based on tracked data
If you experience unusual symptoms or health concerns
For proper diagnosis and treatment of any conditions
Regarding pregnancy planning or birth control methods

User Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that:

You use the App at your own risk
You are responsible for your own health decisions
The App's features and predictions are for informational purposes only
We are not liable for any health-related consequences of using the App

8. Free Service

Cyclea is provided free of charge. There are no subscription fees, in-app purchases, or hidden costs. All features are available to all users at no charge.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The App and all its content, including but not limited to software code, algorithms, design, layout, user interface, text, graphics, and icons are owned by Cyclea or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Trademarks

"Cyclea" and associated logos are trademarks of Cyclea. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

10. Updates and Modifications

App Updates

We may release updates to:

Fix bugs and improve performance
Add new features or functionality
Ensure compatibility with new OS versions
Address security vulnerabilities

Updates may be required to continue using the App.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

Key Privacy Points: All health data is stored locally on your device. We do not access, collect, or store your personal health information on our servers. Limited anonymized analytics may be collected to improve the App.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We shall NOT be liable for any:

Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
Health-related consequences or medical issues
Damages resulting from reliance on App predictions or information
Issues arising from device loss, theft, or failure
Pregnancy, contraception, or fertility-related outcomes

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Termination

By You

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

By Us

We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time with or without notice.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
